Holstebro Museum traces the history of the town and region from earliest times to the present day. The permanent collection features local archaeological finds from the medieval and Viking eras, geological specimens illustrating the fascinating natural development of the area, exhibitions on the industrial development of the area, and special collections including silverware and toys. The Museum mounts temporary exhibitions that change regularly. It has a cafeteria and a souvenir shop.
