Holstebro Art Gallery was established in the 1960s. It contains a good representative collection of modern Danish art, especially from the 1930s. The gallery also contains works by great foreign artists such as Picasso and Matisse. It is keen to represent art as a diverse and international phenomenon and thus it contains many interesting and unique works from around the world. The gallery has activities and exhibits particularly aimed at children, a cafeteria and a shop.
