The famous Himmelbjerg Tower is twenty five metres high and stands on top of the famous peak often reputed to be Denmark’s highest point. It was erected in 1875 to commemorate Frederik VII’s gift to the Danish people of a constitution. It was further embellished on Constitution Day 1891. Its erection at the high scenic point is symbolic of the people’s newfound freedom.It features a café and kiosk for visitors. It affords fantastic views over the surrounding beautiful countryside and is an iconic landmark.
