Herning Free Church lies in near the centre of Herning. It has a simple and unfussy exterior with no tower. It was built in 1954, designed by Clausen of Aarhus. The main body of the church seats around two hundred and fifty. The interior may well be of interest to visitors since it is decorated with bright and innovative murals by the artist Arne Haugen Sørensen. The church serves a non-coformist congregation. It has benefited from a recent restoration.
