The Helene Spring is to be found down by the beach in what is now the seaside resort of Tisvildeleje. It is one of Denmarks most famous springs. It has been a site of pilgrimage for many generations. The traditional story is that anyone suffering from an illness that has not responded to other treatment should come here on the widely celebrated festival of Midsummer Night (or Sankt Hans). It is said that drinking the water before retiring will cure you of your ills.
