Haraldskær Forest lies to the west of Vejle. It is an established area of woodland and natural beauty, providing habitats for many species of plants, birds and animals. There is a simple campsite facility in the woodland area. There is a public nature trail with information boards leading through the adjoineing Vejle stream valley. It was in this region the famous peat bog corpse was found, once thought to be that of a Viking Queen, that now lies in Sankt Nicolai Church in Vejle.
