The Hans Christian Andersen museum is almost 100 years old, and was one of the first museums in the world to be dedicated to a writer. It takes the visitor on a journey through the storyteller’s life, telling of his life, loves, friendships and achievements. Parallel exhibitions give some historical context, illustrating the events that occurred in Denmark and around the world during Andersen’s lifetime. There are listening posts where you can listen to Andersen’s stories. There is also a museum shop.
