The girl with a goose is a well-known landmark in Aalborg. It is a public sculpture of high quality. It has a been a feature of the street of Vesterbro since 1937, when it was donated to the city by C. W. Obel. It is the work of sculptor Gerhard Henning. The young girl is depicted restraining the goose by the neck. The work is realistic in style. It is placed on a plinth of granite that holds a small well. The piece is based on a famous drawing by Kaare Klint.
