The German Refugee Cemetery lies to the north west of the small town of Oksbøl, which is to the west of Blåvand. In the four years after World War II, there was an extremely large refugee camp in this area. You can find out more about it at The Blåvandshuk Regional Museum. In all 1675 refugees and more than a hundred German soldiers are buried here. The many rows of stone crosses are a reminder of the many victims of war.
