Gammel Elmegaard is one of the oldest farms and estates on the small island of Drejø, which is accessible by regular ferry boat from Svendborg. It dates from the sixteenth century. It now houses a museum of island history. The exhibitions are simple and charming of particular interest is a model of the islands main village, Drejø By, before a devastating fire during the Second World War damage many of its wooden buildings.
