The Frog is located outside the Engsig Kindergarten in Aabenraa. It is typical of the Danes’ commitment to taking children’s needs seriously that this playful, fun sculpture should have been commissioned to join Aabenraa’s collection of public art. The Frog is the work of the noted local sculptor Hans Lembrecht Madsen and is made of steel that has been painted to give a semi- realistic appearance. The frog is placed on a granite boulder, from which it looks ready to jump.
