Frederiksborg Slotskirke was the palace chapel of Frederiksborg, but now functions as a magnificent parish church for Hillerød. The chapel, which has served as a coronation chamber displays the arms of the Danish knight’s orders. The chapel has no less than three organs, including a Compenius dating from the seventeenth century, which is sometimes played to public audiences. The chapel is open to tourists but closed to all but worshippers during services.
