Fraugde Church lies in a village to the south east of Odense. It is a medieval church in Romanesque style that dates from the twelfth century. It was formerly the possesion of the manor of Fraugdegaard and of the famous Danish bishop and hymn-writer Thomas Kingo. The beautiful interior contains Renaissance style memorials to him and several of the squires of the nearby manor. The church contains several medieval wall frecoes which were restored in the nineteen seventies.
