Under the care of the North Jylland museums group, the Franciscan Friary Museum is underground and is entered via a lift by a department store. It is located where archaeological excavations discovered the remains of a medieval monastery. You can view the cellars and foundation of the friary, and browse an exhibition that gives insight into what has been discovered about life in medieval Aalborg, and displays some of the finds on the friary site.
