The Forest Botanical garden is located near Charlottenlund S-train station, to the North of central Copenhagen. It is in the care of Copenhagen University. It was founded in the nineteenth century as a study collection of trees for those training in forestry. The garden is open to the public from dawn to dusk daily. Many of the trees are exotic species that have successfully survived and adapted to the Danish climate. A pleasant and interesting place to take a walk.
