Fælledparken is one of the largest open parkland areas in the Copenhagen area. It is situated near the Parken national football stadium. It contains football fields, a skateboard park, childrens playgrounds, news stands and cafes. The park was originally a common grazing area for livestock and was converted to its current use in the early twentieth century. It is a venue for political rallies, public celebrations and open-air concerts. It is a perfect place to take children for games as you will find more space here on a sunny day than in the more popular central locations.
