Fanø Kunstmuseum is an art gallery situated on this popular holiday island, usually accessed by boat from Esbjerg. It is located in the attractive village of Sønderho, which is a short drive or bus ride from the ferry terminal. It collection was built up by Ruth Heinemann and has been housed on this site since 1992. The heart of the collection is the extensive range of paintings by Danish, German and Swedish artists who have worked on the island. The museum also hosts changing temporary exhibitions on the second floor.
