Day trips to the Swedish island of Hven, located in the Sound, are available from Copenhagen harbour and are operated by Spar Shipping. The island is a beautiful and peaceful haven a few miles away from the bustling city. It is only two kilometres across and has just 300 inhabitants. Long known as a retreat for craftsmen and artists it is also home to the Tycho Brahe museum, celebrating the life of the famous astronomer. Bike Hire and carriage rides are available on the island.
