En Rigtig Vestjyde is a sculpture that lies in the centre of Ringkøbing. It was created by Eigil Vestergård and unveiled in 1976. It was a gift from the staff of the regional bank on the occasion of the institution’s centenary. Its name means "A real West Jyllander" and this refers to the qualities traditionally associated with the people of the area, namely honesty, truthfulness and fairness. It is made from stone and represents the nature of the area, which is implied by the artist to be related to the character of its people.
