The Emperor’s New Clothes is one of the statues around Odense that are inspired by the fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen. It is situated near the Brandts Arts Complex. Hans Christian Andersen was born and raised in the city. The sculpture depicts three figures, one of them a rotund Emperor, the other two the greedy and dishonest "tailors" who deceive him. The sculpture was unveiled in 1988 and is the work of Keld Moseholm Jørgensen.
