Elia is an extraordinary attraction located in the Birk Centerpark just to the east of Herning. It is a sculpture on an extraordinary scale, more than sixty metres in diameter. Ingvar Cronhammer created it in 2000. The circular dome steel dome has four staircases that lead to four thirty metre high towers. The enormous structure collects electrical discharges from the atmosphere and shoots an enormous gas flame into the atmosphere at unpredictable intervals.
