Map
The Danish Salt Centre, in Mariager by the harbour, is a high-quality tourist attraction that has been awarded three stars by the tourist authorities. It is the only science centre devoted exclusively to the topic of salt. Demonstrations are given of the process used in “seething” salt and visitors can attempt to extract their own. Here you can learn about the history of salt extraction and mining across the globe. There are play facilities for children. There is a café and shop on site.
