The Danish Mead Brewery lies outside Brande, in the small village of Gammel Blåhøj. It produces several types of mead, the world’s oldest brew, from a recipe that comes from 1700. Visitors to the brewery are treated to a tour where they can see an exhibition on the history of mead production, watch elements of the brewing process, use mead horns and sample mead cake, and try up to seven different types of the tipple.
