The Danish Fire Engine Museum is found in Oksbøl, a small town between Blåvand and Varde. It has been awarded one star attraction status by the Danish Tourist Authorities. It is the largest collection of firefighting vehicles and equipment in the world, and has been cited in the Guinness Book of Records. There are more than 2500 exhibits here. Some of the vehicles date back to the early nineteenth century and include horse drawn machines. A wide variety of uniforms, insignia and photographs are on display. There are also many model fire engines.
