Christian IV’s brewery is an imposing landmark in central Copenhagen. Christian IV, probably Denmark’s most famous and celebrated King, originally had this building built as a storehouse for sulphur, later converting it into a brewery. It is nowadays used as a store for the Royal Danish Arsenal Museum. Guided tours of the brewery building are available during high season in English, German, Danish and French by arrangement with the museum. Special exhibitions are occasionally held here.
