The Charlottenborg exhibition hall is very centrally located and easy to find, as it lies in the famous Nyhavn area, just off Kongens Nytorv. It houses temporary exhibitions, which change throughout the year. The exhibitions centre on the fields of contemporary art, architecture and design. Some exhibitions showcase Danish talent, while others have an international theme. The hall dates from 1883 and has an exhibition area comprising 11 rooms covering a total area of 1400 square metres. It has a bookshop and restaurant.
