The Carl Nielsen museum is a tribute to one of the island of Fyn’s favourite sons. Nielsen is an internationally renowned composer whose symphonies, in particular, form an important part of the classical repertoire. He is also known for his autobiography that chronicles his early life on the island. The museum takes you on a detailed chronological tour through Nielsen’s life. The museum also contains much information on his wife, the sculptor Anne Marie Nielsen, who created some of Denmark’s most famous statues.
