The Burial Mound near Voldstedlund is one of the largest and most significant found in Denmark. It was partially excavated during the 1950s and 1960s and several high quality items were removed and are now housed in the National Museum in Copenhagen. The Neolithic burial site is extremely large, and plainly held high-status occupants, it is over two metres high and three metres wide. There is good parking for interested visitors. The site is situated to the west of Mariager, on the Hobro road.
