Himmelbjerg, one of Denmark’s highest points and a place associated with political radicalism and the founding of Denmark’s constitution contains a number of nationally significant monuments. Among these is a bust of the famous educator Leopold Budde, who came from Sjaelland and was the founder of the approved school here. The bust is by the sculptor Bøgebjerg. It commemorates Budde as the “children’s friend”.
