The suburban district of Brøndby is perhaps best known to foreign tourists as the home of a football team, but it is also a popular spot for locals and visitors who wish to sunbathe, swim and paddle by the beach during the long, bright days of the Copenhagen summer. The beach is sandy, and features sand dunes. There are lifeguard stations here which are manned during the high season. There are good parking facilities and toilets. Brøndby beach is easily accesible by local train or bus from Copenhagen central station.
