Boddum Bakker (Boddum Hills) is a large area in the South of Thy, not far from Hurup and just north of Thyholm. It comprises several distinct areas of natural beauty. Brokær and Boddum are classic heathland areas, while Doverkil is better characterised as moorland. They are all popular areas with walkers. When the heather is in bloom the hillsides contain patches of dramatic purple. To the south of Dover moor is Ydby heath, where you will find around fifty ancient burial mounds in a group, the largest such occurence in Denmark.
