Ansgar’s Church is situated in the north of the city, on Vesterbro, which leads to the Limfjord bridge. It is named after St. Ansgar, who is called “Apostle to the North” and “Apostle to the Danes”. It was designed by Hother Paludan and consecrated in 1929. The church has a copper spire and is formed in the shape of a Greek cross, with chapels in the four corners. The interior decoration is in white, and clean, strong colours.
