This bronze statue of Anna Ancher stands outside the shared entrance to Holstebro’s two principal museums. It was created in the late 1970s by sculptor Astrid Noack. Anna Ancher was a celebrated painter, who along with her husband, was associated with the world-renowned Skagen school of Danish artists. The school collected in the northernmost reach of the Danish peninsular to explore the extraordinary light and natural wonders of the area.
