The Amalienborg Palace museum lies within the building known as Christian VIII’s palace, and is open to the public. The museum was opened by the present Queen and charts the history of the Gluecksberg dynasty before her own reign. Four rooms accurately depict the respective lifestyles of the four Kings who have reigned since 1863 namely Christian XI, Frederik VIII, Christian X and Frederik IX. Guided tours are conducted.
