Near the Amalienborg palace, and the opposite the new opera house, lies a gift to the nation from the Møller foundation. It features unusual and striking modern art as well as seating for visitors. There is a cafe nearby. The garden was designed on commision by the Belgian architect Jean Delogne. The sculptures, some of which lead the eye across the water to the new opera house, also a gift from the Mærsk-Møller magnates, were the work of Italian Arnaldo Pomodoro. A modern addition to the waterfront, and a complement.
