Aalborg’s Town Hall is an attractive little building situated in the town centre in Gammel Torv, or “Old Square”. This highly attractive and well-maintained building dates from 1762. Above the door is the motto of Frederik V, king when the Town Hall was established. The demands of modern municipal administration mean the building is no longer large enough to accommodate the town’s bureaucrats, but it is still used for official functions and receptions.
